A Message from The Deerfield Health Office
Dear Millburn Parents,
As we approach our opening day of in-school learning we, the nurses of Millburn school district, need your assistance to keep our schools as safe and healthy as possible during these extraordinary times. This is how you can help. COVID-19 is not only a school concern it is a community concern. We ask that you follow these guidelines to help keep our schools safe and healthy.
RETURNING TO SCHOOL
- If you are currently staying out of the country or are visiting a state on the NJ Quarantine List you need to return to New Jersey 14 days prior to the start of school.
- You must complete the COVID 19 DAILY SCREENING QUESTIONNAIRE before your child can attend class. YOUR CHILD CANNOT ATTEND CLASS WITHOUT THIS CLEARANCE. You will receive a “test” questionnaire before we go live.
- It is important that all children and staff WEAR MASKS in school. Please practice mask wearing with your children.
- Speak to and practice social distancing with your children, helping them improvise ways to greet their friends, toe tapping, elbow bumps, heart tap, etc.
- PLAYGROUNDS ARE CLOSED from 8:15am to 3:15pm every day, so please do not congregate after school or during lunch time on the school grounds.
- Being consistent with SOCIAL DISTANCING outside of school will help your child understand the importance of this rule and keep our schools safe.
- Log into Powerschool and check your MEDICAL EMERGENCY CONTACTS to ensure the contacts entered are within 15 minutes of school, and can pick up your child if you are not available.
- DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL SICK, if in doubt call your school nurse.
- To review our COVID-19 PROTOCOLS please see the nurses webpage on your schools’ website.
